What is PRP and PRF Hair Restoration for Hair Loss?

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) are advanced regenerative treatments used in aesthetic medicine to provide hair regrowth and also treatments for hair thinning . These treatments harness the body’s natural healing processes to stimulate hair growth and quality.

What is the Difference Between PRP and PRF Hair Restoration?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): PRP involves concentrating platelets from the patient’s blood. These platelets contain growth factors that stimulate wound healing and tissue improvement. PRP focuses on using these concentrated platelets to promote the healing of skin and tissues to stimulate hair follicles.

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin): An advanced version of PRP, PRF contains not only concentrated platelets but also a fibrin matrix derived from the patient’s own blood. This fibrin scaffolding contains additional factors such as white blood cells and cytokines, which extend the effectiveness and duration of the platelets’ action. The inclusion of white blood cells in PRF adds benefits such as infection control and a beneficial inflammatory response, further supporting tissue regeneration and new hair growth. PRP and PRF are not a hair transplant.

What Does the PRP and PRF Hair Restoration Procedure Entail?

Both PRP and PRF procedures begin with drawing the patient’s blood. This blood is then placed in a centrifuge, a device that spins the blood to separate its components. Depending on the desired treatment, either PRP or PRF is extracted and then injected into the scalp or treatment area.

How Often Do I Need Treatments?

It is generally recommended to undergo PRP or PRF treatment once monthly for the first three months. After the initial series, maintenance treatments are advised twice annually to sustain the benefits. Your provider with explain your type of hair loss such as female pattern hair loss.

What Results Can I Expect from PRP or PRF?

For scalp treatments, enhancements may include an increase in hair number, as well as improvements in the thickness and strength of existing hair or simply more healthy hair.

These innovative treatments, leveraging the potential of PRP and PRF, highlight the convergence of aesthetic medicine and regenerative therapy. By using the body’s own components, PRP and PRF aim to achieve a more youthful and vibrant appearance, particularly effective in addressing and promoting hair growth. Hair transplant surgery or hair replacement surgery is another option but starting with PRP or PRF can help stimulate new hair growth for hair loss or thinning hair.

If you are in the early stages of hair loss or experiencing hair loss or thinning, PRF may be a good place to start.

Dermal Fillers and Facial Fillers https://www.vervelaser.com/dermal-fillers-facial-fillers-nyc/ https://www.vervelaser.com/dermal-fillers-facial-fillers-nyc/#respond Wed, 13 Sep 2023 23:45:13 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/?post_type=treatments&p=28715 What are dermal facial fillers?
and what do they do?

Dermal fillers are cosmetic materials (cosmetic fillers) which are injected into or below the skin for various non-surgical cosmetic enhancements.

The main types of dermal fillers

Hyaluronic Acid fillers (HA),
Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA),
Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA).

Common types of face fillers

Include HA filler brand names such as: Restylane, Belotero Balance, Revanesse® Versa, Juvéderm, Juvéderm Voluma, and RHA.

CaHA filler by Radiesse.

PLLA filler by Sculptra.

What Do Dermal Fillers Actually Do?

In short, dermal fillers add support underneath our skin. As we age we tend to lose the support structures below our skin, such as bone, muscle, fat and connective tissue. The result of this loss of support is that our skin tends to bend, fold and sag in characteristic ways making us appear tired and older. Dermal fillers help to replace the lost support system below the skin. By adding back support below the skin the goal is to elevate the skin to its original natural position making you appear rested and younger.

How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last In The Face?

The various brands of cosmetic facial fillers can persist in the face for several months to several years depending on the type of filler, how much of the filler was placed (more filler lasts longer) and the area of the face treated.

At What Age Do People Start Using Cosmetic Fillers To Enhance The Face?

Some people start using cosmetic fillers in the face as early as their twenties and thirties, commonly for the lips, and for the nasal labial folds. The goal should always be to keep the skin supported and in its original position. For most people, it is advantageous to receive facial fillers early in the aging process to maintain the skin as close to its original position as possible.

How Do I Choose Which Cosmetic Filler Is Best For Me?

Choosing the right cosmetic injector is by far the most important decision in improving your cosmetic results from facial fillers. An experienced doctor will select the best filler for you.

NON-SURGICAL BUTT-LIFT WITH SCULPTRA AND RADIESSE https://www.vervelaser.com/non-surgical-butt-lift-nyc-sculptra-radiesse/ Wed, 13 Sep 2023 23:09:18 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/?post_type=treatments&p=28592

What is a Non-Surgical Butt-Lift?

A non-surgical butt lift and contouring is an alternative to surgical buttocks enhancements such as the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) providing a lift, volume increase, tighting, contouring options and cellulite reduction. The VERVE VOLUTIGHTEN™ non-Surgical butt-lift uses Sculptra or Radiesse cosmetic fillers.

How do Sculptra and Radiesse Work to Augment and Lift the Buttocks?

By stimulating the production of tissue, Sculptra and Radiesse help to add volume and support under the skin in the buttocks area. Essentially, Sculptra and Radiesse help your body to produce connective tissue under the skin and this in turn supports and provides fullness under the skin. Basically you are working with your own body to add support and enhance the tissue under the skin to replicate the appearance of muscle and fat .

How are Sculptra and Radiesse Applied?

First, the area may be numbed to provide comfort to the patient. Sculptra or Radiesse is injected beneath the skin. In turn tissue production occurs in response to the Sculptra and Radiesse. Multiple sessions may be performed depending on the results desired and the amount of product applied each session.

This guide reviews the world of lip augmentation and how to achieve the natural-looking results you desire with lip injections.

Lip Filler Injections Defined

Lip injections are treatments whereby a naturally occurring compound called hyaluronic acid, known for its hydrating properties is injected with a needle or a cannula into the top or lower lip lines area to augment the shape of the lip. These fillers work by not just adding volume but also sculpting the lips to perfection, offering improved symmetry and a noticeable boost in hydration.

Among the variable options to plump your lips, common brands like Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Restylane, Versa, and RHA  fillers stand out for their effectiveness and reliability.

Benefits of Lip Augmentation

The allure of lip enhancements with fillers lies in their multiple benefits. They allow fuller, plumper lips, enhanced contours, and a noticeable improvement in hydration. All this can be accomplished while ensuring the results look natural. What’s more, the procedure is quick, minimally invasive, and tailored to fit the individual’s aesthetic desires, making it a preferred choice for those looking to enhance their lip volume and shape.

Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane

Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Versa are ideal for their natural-looking enhancements. These injectable dermal fillers are derived from a naturally occurring substance in the body and expertly designed to complement the individual’s lip shape and size, ensuring the results are not just beautiful but also uniquely yours. Moreover, the effects are durable, with fuller lips lasting up to six months or more, depending on the product and the individual’s metabolism.

Lip Filler Injection Procedure in New York City and New Jersey

The journey to fuller lips begins with a free consultation with an experienced aesthetic physician, nurse or plastic surgeon, where goals are set and a treatment plan is reviewed. During the procedure, comfort is of highest importance, with numbing agents applied or local anesthetic injected  to ease any discomfort. At VERVE in New York City and New Jersey and Miami our injector practitioners use fine needles or cannulas to precisely inject the filler, ensuring optimal placement and natural results.

Results, Downtime and Maintenance

The transformation is immediate, with noticeable improvements in lip volume and shape post-treatment. To sustain the voluminous look, follow -up treatments may be necessary, especially as the fillers naturally integrate with the body’s metabolic processes. The amount of swelling varies depending on the person and the experience of the injector. Aftercare instructions are provided to aid a smooth recovery and maximize results for the perfect pout. Typically there is little to no downtime and you are able to resume normal activity the next day.

The Lip Flip Botox Option

A popular method used to shape the upper lip can be performed with the use of Botox rather than the use of cosmetic fillers.  A neurotoxin is injected into the vermillion boarder of the lip. The underlying muscles of the lip relaxed and the upper lip is everted, whereby the upper lip can roll upward and outward .  Additionally your provider may use hyaluronic acid based fillers to add volume where needed.

Lip Injections Safety and Risks

Lip Fillers are a non-surgical and safe procedure when administered by certified professionals. Lip fillers are safe, with FDA approval underscoring their reliability. While some may experience temporary side effects like swelling or bruising, serious complications are rare, making lip fillers a safe choice for enhancing lip aesthetics.

Lip Injections FAQ

What Makes Hyaluronic Acid a Naturally Occurring Compound?

Hyaluronic acids are naturally occurring molecules in the human body. Skin, cartilage, and nervous tissues are parts of the body that naturally contain Hyaluronic Acid.

How Is A Lip Filler Injection Procedure Performed?

The treatment consists of a series of injections of fillers to both the upper and lower lips, typically with a filler type called hyaluronic acids. Most commonly, these filler injections are performed with a needle and several injections per lip.
Many of the Hyaluronic fillers, such as Juvederm, are pre-mixed with a numbing agent to reduce any discomfort that may occur during the injection.
Our practice pre-numbs the area with a local anesthetic, and additionally applies a high-intensity vibration device to distract from and reduce the feeling of pain.

How Much Swelling Can I Expect?

The amount of swelling varies depending on both the individual and how the treatment is performed. To minimize swelling, an experienced injector may do things such as minimize the number of injection spots, inject at a medium depth, and administer the injections very slowly.
The amount of downtime is typically minimal. Most clients are able to resume normal social activity shortly after their treatment.

Can I Achieve a Subtle Natural Lip Filler Result?

The results you get from filler lip enhancements and lip augmentation ar e 90% based on the provider, and only 10% based on the filler itself. It is important that you select an experienced injector for your lip filler treatment. An experienced provider will take into consideration not only your lips but the entire area around your lips. More than often, an over-plumped result is because the area around the face was not treated or related to the experience of the provider.

Cheek Fillers for Facial Contouring https://www.vervelaser.com/cheek-fillers-nyc-facial-fillers/ https://www.vervelaser.com/cheek-fillers-nyc-facial-fillers/#respond Wed, 13 Sep 2023 22:17:48 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/?post_type=treatments&p=28636 Cheek Fillers are cosmetic fillers that are injected into the face to augment the cheek area and to correct for age-related volume loss.

Cheek Fillers are cosmetic fillers that are injected into the face to augment the cheek area and to correct for age-related volume loss.

Soft Hyaluronic Acid fillers such as Juvéderm Voluma XC, Restylane, and Versa or firmer fillers such as Radiesse and Sculptra are often applied to the cheek area of the face to improve volume loss or augment and contour the cheeks. Juvederm Voluma XC is approved for the cheek area, other fillers are considered off label for this area.

How do I avoid cheek fillers gone wrong?

It is best to consult an experienced injector who is dedicated on a full-time basis to cosmetic injectables. With this experience, the medical provider will give you the best advice on how filling the cheek area will complement the entirety of your face. A treatment plan to contour your cheeks must be one that complements the architecture of your entire face, not just the cheek area. A provider with many years as an injector, an extensive before and after gallery, videos of natural results and reviews on their website and social media is a good foundation to start with. Do your research.

How do I avoid cheek filler swelling?

Swelling from cheek fillers is common and normal. However, there is a difference between normal post-treatment swelling and an over-treated puffy appearance. Most patients do not understand the difference.

DR BRACCI’S TECHNIQUES TO REDUCE FILLER SWELLING

Which cheek fillers are best and will not make me look puffy?

The softer hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvederm XC Voluma, are among the easiest of fillers for providers to inject. These fillers are more likely to attract water and make your face appear puffy. On the other hand, firmer fillers such as Radiesse and Sculptra are often the best for the cheeks. Firmer fillers are more technically difficult to inject but are much less likely to attract water and cause a puffy appearance. There is no one- size fits all cheek filler. An experienced injector will have expertise with all types of fillers. The most important variable by far is the skill, expertise and the aesthetic eyes of the injector.

Are cheek fillers good for a round face?

Cheekfillers can slim the face by adding contours and definition to the face. When considering cheek filler injections for a round face you should first and foremost find a provider who is an expert in attaining natural results that accentuate the natural contours of ALL facial shapes and sizes. It is not the cheek filler itself that determines the results, but the artistic eye of the medical expert and the cheek filler injection point techniques that attains the results.

Can I Get Cheek Fillers Near Me?

You can get cheek fillers in New York City, New Jersey, Westchester, Long Island and Miami at the private studios of Dr. Stephen Bracci, VERVE Medical Cosmetics. Dr. Bracci is known for this natural results with all types of cheek fillers, under eye bag treatments and full facial rejuvenation.

Will everybody know if I have had cheek fillers?

If done correctly, fillers should not be evident to other people. A good cheek filler before and after photo gallery will show results that are natural. An experienced injector in all types of cheek fillers will simply enhance the original architecture of the face.

How long do cheek fillers last?

Depending on the type of cosmetic filler and the amount of filler injected, some cosmetic fillers in the cheek can persist for up to a year, and even up to several years.

Under Eye Fillers https://www.vervelaser.com/under-eye-fillers-nyc/ Wed, 13 Sep 2023 22:07:26 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/?post_type=treatments&p=28628 Under Eye Bag Fillers Are Non-Permanent Cosmetic Materials, Such As Hyaluronic Acid And Calcium Hydroxylapatite, That Are Used In Aesthetic Medical Practices To Restore The Shape Of The Under Eye Area And Reduce The Appearance Of Eye Bags And Dark Circles.

What are the most common types of under eye fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers, or ‘soft’ fillers, are commonly used to treat the tear trough area or the under eye hollows. These hyaluronic acid fillers are used in small amounts in the under eye area as they hold water and can easily make the under eye area appear puffy and distorted when misused. The EyeRise technique takes into account the entire area beneath the eyes and seeks to avoid this puffiness by also applying firmer fillers that do not hold water. A combination of soft fillers and firm fillers for under the eyes and the midface provides support needed to achieve and natural-looking results.

Why Do Under Eye Fillers Often Result In A Puffy, Unnatural Look?

The most common reason is the lack of experience of the injector and the shortcuts they may take. All too often, cosmetic injectors rely only on the soft hyaluronic type fillers because they are generally easier to inject.
This short cut approach often results in puffiness and an unnatural appearance due to the fact that one filler-type alone typically cannot treat the entire area without causing puffiness. The best results usually require more than just filling the tear trough with soft hyaluronic fillers.

Why Do We Get Under Eye Bags And Dark Circles?

We lose the foundation under our skin as we age because we lose bone, muscle and fat, which ultimately results in sagging skin. To learn more about how we develop (eye bags and dark circles.) By adding back a support system under our skin with cosmetic fillers, we can restore the natural, younger shape of the under eye area. The key to this treatment is to apply the right combination of fillers and to make it appear natural.

What Is The Recovery Time For Under Eye Filler Treatments?

Everyone is different, so results and recovery time depend on the individual. The EyeRise procedure, developed by Dr. Stephen Bracci at Verve Medical Cosmetics in NYC and NJ, strives to provide the least amount of downtime for each patient treated for under eye bags and dark circles. Unlike a surgical blepharoplasty, the EyeRise treatment does not involve cutting or stretching of the skin, meaning there is no surgical recovery downtime.

What Is The Most Advanced Treatment Technique For Under Eye Fillers And How Do I Know I Am Getting The Most Optimal Results For The Price?

The key to selecting the best center to treat the under eye area is to select a provider who not only performs injectable procedures on a full time basis, but one who has considerable experience with the under eye area. A large portfolio of before and after photos is a good starting place to view this experience. An advanced provider will also have expertise with, and use, a cannula instead of a sharp needle to perform the treatment. Your physician provider should also discuss the full treatment that combines the right soft filler for under the eye and firmer fillers for support in the mid-face below the eyes. In most cases, tear trough only treatments that are sometimes advertised at low prices, are not the best treatment solution. In addition, there is no one size fits all filler. For example, many physicians select Belotero as the hyaluronic filler of choice for under eye area to avoid the Tyndall effect. An experienced physician will know how to inject the “right” amount of hyaluronic acid and avoid over-fill and puffiness.

Immerse the Dermis with Injectables to Achieve Beautiful, Younger Skin.

What is DermImmersion™?

DermImmersion™ is a technique developed by aesthetic medicine specialist, Dr. Stephen Bracci, to stimulate your body to produce better skin. DermImmersion™ is offered exclusively at the Verve studios in New York City and Bergen County, NJ. The DermImmersion™ treatment is accomplished with high-intensity injections of fillers targeted specifically in the dermis layer of the skin.

What Can DermImmersion™ Accomplish?

Ultimately, the DermImmersion™ treatment results in skin that appears younger through biostimulation (growth and repair of skin). Biostimulation leads to a thicker dermis layer as well as softer, more hydrated skin. The effects of these direct dermal skin injections have long-lasting effects of up to a year.

Why Is DermImmersion™ Different From Traditional Filler Injections?

DermImmersion™ stimulates the skin to build and repair itself with a high-intensity immersion of fillers into the dermal layer (dermis) of the skin. Traditional filler injections are applied in the deeper layer under the skin for skin support, not for direct skin stimulation.

What Results Can I Expect From DermImmersion™?

DermImmersion™ bathes and immerses the skin with biostimulatory filler products to maximize the growth of improved skin. The DermImmersion™ treatment by Dr. Stephen Bracci provides results that are effective in treating fine lines, hydrating the skin, softening the texture and ultimately obtaining a more youthful appearance.

When you add a chemical peel to your microneedling treatment, the dark spots are lifted from the skin revealing a smooth and bright complexion. Ask about VERVE’s chemical peel and microneedling combination discounts.

What will you experience?

Treatment time is about 15-30 minutes; during this time, you may experience a mild tingling effect. As soon as the professional application of specifically chosen, synergistic gentle acids begin, the acids start to go to work on the outer layers of the skin. As the week progresses, the acids will continue to treat the deeper Dermis. You will leave the office looking like you have a slight tan, and carrying a targeted at-home skincare kit, to accelerate and maintain the active peeling. Included in the kit is a soothing cream to help calm the skin during the peeling process, and a medical-grade SPF, like Verve’s Firm Commitment Mineral Sheer Face Sunscreen SPF 50+. Sun protection with SPF is essential during the exfoliation process for long term maintenance of and improved results. Do not worry; we will go over home care before you leave the office and be here for you during your exfoliation week ready to address any concerns you may have.

What can I Expect After my in Office Treatment?

Skin peeling generally starts on the 3rd day through the 7th day after treatment. If you receive the peel on a Wednesday evening, you should begin peeling by the weekend. Peeling will typically start from around the mouth outwards on the face. You can use the soothing cream as any peeling continues- and yes, you can even wear makeup if desired! It is important to not pull or pick at any peeling, as this can cause scarring. Will you visibly peel every time? Not necessarily. The ViPeel works with the skin condition you have now to improve it, and your skin may exfoliate microscopically, and you won’t have any visible downtime at all. The amount of visible peeling may change during subsequent peels, which will continue to reveal newer skin during the accelerated cell turnover.

When is the best time to receive your peel?

When deciding when to schedule your ViPeel, it is important to keep in mind that the procedure may involve some downtime when your skin is visibly peeling. At Verve, we will work with you to schedule your treatment to make sure you have the least downtime possible.

What makes ViPeel one of the leaders in the industry?

Vitamins and minerals are packed in this peel to nourish the skin during the process of exfoliation and skin renewal! ViPeel is Cruelty-Free. Perfect!

Ultherapy https://www.vervelaser.com/ultherapy-skin-tightening/ https://www.vervelaser.com/ultherapy-skin-tightening/#respond Sat, 22 Oct 2016 00:00:00 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/treatments/ultherapy-skin-tightening/

Why is Ultherapy different than other non-surgical cosmetic procedures?

There are so many devices, pills and lotions on the market right now that claim to renew collagen and many of them do in fact do that. Ultherapy is different because it “focuses on collagen” in a most effective way. It focusses on the protein that holds our skin together to provide strength and structure– like a scaffold. Unlike other procedures, it bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy at the right depths and the right temperature. This penetration below the surface of the skin allows the procedure to work better to regenerate the process that produces fresh new collagen.

Is Ultherapy painful?

More recent treatment protocols make the treatment much less painful than in the past, however there may be some discomfort. When the heat is focused on the soft tissues of the face and not the deep bony tissue, the treatment results are much better and very tolerable. More recent precision protocols of the device technology allow for much better precision of depth of treatment – with much less discomfort and ultimately much better results.

Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is great for men and women who have optimal under skin foundation with remaining loose skin. Ultherapy harnesses the power of ultrasound to transform the brow, chin, neck and chest. Ultrasound, of course, has been used safely throughout the medical field for more than 50 years—and Ultherapy has been established as safe and effective in clinical studies and in over half a million treatments worldwide.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy harnesses the power of ultrasound to transform the brow, chin, neck and chest. As you know, Ultrasound has been used safely in many areas of medicine for more than 50 years. The highly focussed ultrasound waves of the Ultherapy device are directed to the deep skin layers and the connective tissues whereby intense heat is generated. From this ultrasound intense heat, collagen production is stimulated and the skin tightens.

Will Ultherapy cure all my wrinkle and sagging skin problems?

Ultherapy can be a great way to “enhance” the natural appearing improvements that you obtain with non-surgical injectables, namely cosmetic fillers. Cosmetic fillers, such as Radiesse, restore the lost support system under the skin, thereby returning the shape of the face back to its earlier positions. Ultherapy provides an added benefit and improvement after cosmetic fillers to tighten the skin.

What does VERVE recommend as an Ultherapy treatment package?

There isn’t one non-surgical treatment that can fix everything. At VERVE, our doctors are focused on solely on non-surgical cosmetic treatments. This is all we do. Our case studies show that a combination of treatments are recommended to keep you appearing rested and natural. Here is a 3-step sample of products we use at VERVE that are part of our VERVE Baselift™ treatment to lift and replace lost volume in the full-face.

Cosmetic relaxers:
These are treatments you hear about all the time. Botox Cosmetic and Xeomin are botulinum toxins or muscle relaxers that prevent the muscular pull that causes movement wrinkles and ultimately reducing the skin damage that results as a consequence of repetitive movements.

Cosmetic fillers:
You have heard these referred to in national beauty magazines as Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm and Voluma. These products restore the lost foundation under the skin and return the shape of the face to its more youthful and attractive position. Remember, these products do not treat every sagging skin problem. An experienced injector will personalize your treatment and recommend the right product for your “personal” problems.

Ultherapy:
If you are interested in boosting your results or extending the results, we recommend that you add Ultherapy treatments to complement your cosmetic treatments and tightening the skin and tissues of the face.

Hand Rejuvenation https://www.vervelaser.com/hand-rejuvenation/ https://www.vervelaser.com/hand-rejuvenation/#respond Thu, 24 Mar 2016 00:00:00 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/treatments/hand-rejuvenation/

Why do hands age?

The skin on our hands is easily exposed to the sun and the harsh elements of day to day life. The skin on our hands is often more sensitive to the aging process and so the tissue beneath the skin becomes thinner and the veins and tendons become more visible as the skin loses volume.

How does Radiesse work to treat hand aging?

Radiesse is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for hand augmentation to correct volume loss in the back of the hands. When injected into the hands by an experienced physician, Radiesse adds back the lost volume to create a smooth younger look to your hands.

How does Radiesse stimulate collagen production?

Radiesse contains calcium microspheres (CaHA) which stimulate the body to produce collagen, resulting in immediate long-lasting volume augmentation.

How long do Radiesse hand treatments work?

Radiesse for the hands can last up to one year.

  • Microneedling, treats pore size,  skin elasticity, acne scars and hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, facial acne scars, sun damage, stretch marks and other skin conditions.
  • Because of its ability to increase the new production of collagen and elastin, it is an excellent option if you need more than a standard facial or are not prepared to spend on lasers and expensive devices. The average price is around $499.
  • Microneedling generates new skin by using tiny, fine needles to puncture and create microscopic zones of injury in the skin to stimulate the production of collagen to enhance the skin rejuvenation process.
  • A small portion of the skin is treated with microneedling, and triggers the skin’s repair and healing process to stimulate and generate new collagen and elastin.
  • The creation of tiny wounds and the healing process for microneedling replaces these tiny channels with new collagen, tighter skin, and rejuvenated skin, resulting in firmer skin and a more youthful appearance. A post procerdure care kit may include a serum or lotion.
  • At VERVE, we use the first FDA approved device by SkinPen to perform microneedling skin rejuvenation in New Jersey and New York. SkinPen is engineered and made in the USA and designed to work without chemicals, heat or stress. Clinically tested and proven.
  • Microneedling is a medical device and should be performed in a medical office under the supervision of a board-certified physician or nurse. A Micro needling treatment is an excellent option for all skin types and colors.

Verve  Microneedling is performed in NJ and NYC

Why Choose VERVE for Microneedling in New York and New Jersey?

For 24 years, VERVE continues its rank as New York City and New Jersey’s #1 local anesthetic practice providing personal long term anti-aging for men and women.

VERVE is not a medical spa chain.  A medically licensed nurse RN will provide your treatment and follow up care. VERVE provide complimentary consultations.

How is microneedling performed?

Before your procedure begins, the skin is cleaned, and a topical numbing cream is applied. The numbing cream is reapplied based on your perception of numbness. After the numbing cream is cleared and the skin re-cleaned, the process of applying micro needles to the skin to achieve micro channels begins. The treatment is tailored and customized to your skin goals, improving skin texture and tone. It is commonly used to improve pore size and skin elasticity,  treat areas of facial scar and hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, stretch marks and other skin conditions . The downtime and side effects are generally minimal, with redness and some minor swelling being the most reported side effects. This treatment is a minimally invasive treatment. It is not a plastic surgery procedure and not commonly performed by a plastic surgeon but often a service in a non-surgical aesthetic physician practice, cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical spa.

How often should I get treatments?

In order to achieve optimal results to the skin and body, microneedling sessions are generally applied every few weeks for a series of treatments, with many patients choosing to then receive ongoing treatments several times a year as maintenance.

What parts of the body are most common for microneedling?

The most common areas of treatment for  are the face, neck, décolleté, chest, and hands. Microneedling is an excellent option and can treat areas of scars, stretch marks, such as the abdomen, buttocks, and breasts, also benefit. Nearly any area of the skin on the body can receive microneedling. A consultation with a medical provider will determine what skin issues you may have and how to reduce the appearance of scars or fine lines.

What happens following treatment?

Post treatment care, weeks after treatment is straightforward as the body’s natural healing process begins to take effect.  Continued healthy skin care protection with skin hydration, and lavish sunscreen use,  all of which  benefit the healing and collagen-building response. Avoiding sun exposure is recommended. You may experience redness after your treatment but eventually you will look and feel great.

What are the different combinations of microneedling treatments?

There are many add-on options for a microneedling treatment. Options include treatment alone, with laser, and  rf (radiofrequency) . You can also combine the microneedling procedure with topical skin treatments such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or PRF (platelet-rich fibrin).  Your VERVE provider will develop a personalized treatment plan along with the number of sessions to optimize your collagen production and rejuvenate the skin. Laser microneedling, another form, combines the channeling of micro needles with laser energy heating, whereas radiofrequency microneedling combines it with heating from radiofrequency.

What are best treatments for your skin surface?

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the society of board-certified plastic surgeons, 2022 ASPS Procedural Statistics Release, the top 5 Cosmetic Minimally Invasive Procedures for 2022 included Skin Treatments because when used on the face or body they improve the appearance and texture of skin leaving it tightened and rejuvenated and Skin Resurfacing because when applied to your skin they improve the appearance and texture of skin leaving it tightened and rejuvenated.

Dr. Stephen Bracci is a board certified physician and member of the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine,  Aesthetic Multispecialty Society, and the American Medical Association. He is licensed to practice medicine in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

How does Kybella® work?

When injected into submental fat, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After the aesthetic response is achieved, retreatment with Kybella is not expected, as the destruction of cells is deemed permanent.

How long does a Kybella® treatment take?

The in-office non-surgical Kybella treatment can take 15-20 minutes.

When will I see results?

Because everyone is different, some patients’ treatment plans may require up to 4 treatments. Depending on the problem area, a patient may see results in 3 to 6 weeks.

Botox Cosmetic https://www.vervelaser.com/botox-cosmetic/ https://www.vervelaser.com/botox-cosmetic/#respond Mon, 03 Aug 2015 00:00:00 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/treatments/botox-cosmetics/

What Is Botox® Cosmetic & How Does It Work?

Botox is a brand of neurotoxin that reduces muscular pull and reduces facial wrinkles . Whenever the skin on our face moves, such as when squinting or smiling, the body’s nervous system sends signals to the muscles underneath the skin, called neurotransmitters, that cause the muscles (and our skin) to move. Over time, this constant contraction of the facial muscles is what causes the appearance of wrinkles. Botox Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA), often shortened to Botox, a form of neuromodulator, is used to block the neurotransmitters that are sent to our facial muscles. By blocking the signals that cause our facial muscles to contract, Botox is able to relax the muscles and, ultimately, reduce the appearance of wrinkled skin.

Where Is Botox® Used?

Botox is typically used to reduce wrinkles in between the eyebrows, or the glabella area, as well as the areas around the eyes commonly referred to as Crow’s Feet.

How Do I Know How Much Botox® I Need?

It is important to understand that individual responses to Botox often vary from patient to patient. Some patients simply need a lower number of units than others to achieve proper results. There are some common factors that determine the number of units needed for a patient to achieve their desired results. One factor is the length of time since a patient was last treated with Botox. For example, if a patient had a full response to a Botox treatment less than 2 months ago, the dosage required to achieve results may be less than a patient treated a year ago.

A second common factor is the area being treated; some areas simply require more units on average than other areas. An example of this is underarm sweating, a condition commonly treated with Botox. It is not uncommon to use more units of Botox for this condition than when treating movement lines between the brows.

Another factor is that some patients may want more or less of a specific response than others, requiring different amounts of Botox.

The key to botox dosing is tailoring to the individual area , patients needs and patients wants .

Dysport® https://www.vervelaser.com/dysport/ https://www.vervelaser.com/dysport/#respond Mon, 03 Aug 2015 00:00:00 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/treatments/dysport/

What is Dysport?

Dysport is a medication that smoothes wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that cause skin-movement lines. Dysport is a type of medication, known as a botulinum toxin, that lessens or temporarily blocks muscular movement beneath the skin.

Dysport is similar to other types of Botulinium toxins in that dysport may affect other muscle groups throughout the face and body, which may be considered an off label use.

What facial areas does Dysport treat?

Dysport is most commonly used to treat the wrinkles that appear between the eyebrows, commonly referred to as 11 lines.

How is Dysport applied?

Dysport is typically applied through an injection with a fine needle under the skin.

How much does Dysport cost?

Dysport is priced at $5/unit. Total treatment costs depend on the area being treated as well as the individual needs of each patient. A common dosage for the 11 lines (frown) area between the brows is 60- 75 units of dysport, but individual response varies.

How long do results from Dysport last?

Results commonly persist for up to 3 months, but individual response varies. It is generally recommended to return at 3 month intervals to maintain the best results.

IPL Photofacial https://www.vervelaser.com/ipl-photofacial/ Mon, 03 Aug 2015 00:00:00 +0000 https://www.vervelaser.com/treatments/ipl-photofacial/

What is a photofacial?

An IPL Photofacial is a type of skin treatment that uses light to rejuvenate and repair damaged skin. IPL Photofacials involve using a very strong light source, called an Intense Pulse Light (IPL), to heat the skin and, in turn, stimulate healing of the skin.

What conditions are IPL Photofacials used to treat?

IPL Photofacials are typically used to treat sun damaged skin, such as age/sun spots, as well as small blood vessels known as vascular lesions. In addition, IPL photofacials may be used to treat redness of the skin, or Rosacea, and sometimes small wrinkles known as Rhytides. Lastly, IPL Photofacials may be beneficial in treating acne.

What body parts do photofacials typically treat?

The most common areas treated with IPL Photofacials are those that get the most sun exposure. These include the face, upper chest, shoulders and back.

How is the IPL Photofacial treatment performed?

IPL Photofacials are simple procedures. An intense light source is applied directly next to, or on to, the skin to generate a heating effect. This heat in turn triggers an immune and repair mechanism within the skin, ultimately resulting in skin turnover and new skin growth.

How much do IPL Photofacials cost?

IPL Photofacials are priced by the treatment or by packages, and are priced by the amount of treatment area applied. Photofacials for a small area start at $199/ visit, or $599 for a package of 4 sessions.

How long do results from IPL Photofacials last?

IPL Photofacial results may persist indefinitely if proper sun protection is applied. Many clients feel that their Photofacial treatments benefit from yearly maintenance.
